Raven has become one of the most popular of the Teen Titans and it's easy to see why we all love her character so much! Raven has definitely got a very mysterious streak to her personality, she's cool, quiet, and for obvious reasons Raven doesn't express her emotions often. Probably her most popular personality trait is Raven's quick wit to the other Teen Titans, she has a dry sarcastic sense of humor fitting with her modern Goth style. Although dark and mysterious Raven is a Teen Titan that I think we can all relate to.
Raven, in comparison with the other Teen Titans is the most mature. She is often found giving words of wisdom to the other Teen Titans, and knows how to stay calm when the going gets tough. At first Raven doesn't even let the other Teen Titans into her room, she prefers to be alone, meditating or reading. The reason she has to be so calm is the fact that if her emotions get the better of her then her powers can get out of control on their own, causing all sorts of trouble!

In Teen Titans her birth parents are Arella and Trigon, but Raven left Azarath and her family to go and live on Earth, where her mother was from. Raven spent much of her youth honing her skills of meditation and magic with the monks. By learning to maintain her calm she was able to control the dark powers she inherited from her father.
During Raven's childhood she became aware of her terrible destiny and decided the only option was to run away. She ended up in Jump City where, after a series of events, she met the other teen superheroes and formed the group that we all love the TEEN TITANS!!! Her presence proved imperative in the group's first battle and resulting triumph over the Gordanians.
Eventually Raven's past caught up with her and the rest of the Teen Titans. Trigon sent Slade and an army of fire demons to take Raven and use her body as a portal to earth. She allowed herself to be taken to protect the other Teen Titans from harm and she was rendered powerless and a child. The world turned into a nightmare, but the Teen Titans refused to give up. Slade betrayed Trigon and with his help Robin went to the underworld and took Raven back to the surface.
As the fight between Trigon's army and the Teen Titans and Slade looked lost, Raven Teen Titan realized that it didn't have to end this way. She regained her powers as her spirits lifted and used their new found strength to destroy Trigon, thus changing Earth back to the way it used to be and finally ridding herself from her dark past.
